Important Person in my community

José María Nemesio González Arratia  Ortiz del Ángel

In my community there is not someone who is currently doing something very positive or helping people. So I decided to look in the past and discovered this:

There was a person called José María Nemesio González Arratia Ortiz del Ángel, who was born in Toluca on October 31, 1783. He is considered the most important benefactor of the history of Toluca, since he began his modernization through works of hydraulic infrastructure; construction of three theaters: the first in 1823 belonging to the Hospital of San Juan de Dios, the Alva in 1845 and the Principal in 1851; remodeling of the beaterio when he was appointed Director of the Literary Institute Don José María Heredia y Heredia in 1833; building of the portals in 1836, the mall in 1842 and the hotel the Great Society in 1851. He was municipal president in 1852 and died that same year on October 14.

In 23 days it will be his 235th birthday and in six days it will be his 166th anniversary of the day of his death.

It seemed ironic to me that his birth and death were in this same month.

He was someone who did good things in my community 195 years ago.
